One of the world’s leading high jewellery artists, in this film we see the exquisite Black Label Masterpiece XVIII “Peony Brooch” by Cindy Chao inducted into the acclaimed William and Judith Bollinger Gallery of the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. To date, Chao is the only Asian female jeweller to have her creation placed in this historic gallery.
The one-of-a-kind brooch is made primarily of purple coloured titanium and set with thousands of rubies and diamonds. The red petals have a lushness and gradation of red colour that is contrasted with yellow pistils, and completed with a detailed lacquer technique.
