This is my first ever video essay that I made for a subject in uni during this first semester in my cinema major! The goal was to pick a genre of movies and choose a theme to talk about with the type of approach preferred. In this video I will explore the light used in film noir, more specifically in "Maltese Falcon" by John Huston, "Taxi Driver" by Martin Scorsese, "Mulholland Dr" by David Lynch and "The Last Time I Saw Macao" by João Pedro Rodrigues and João Rui Guerra da Mata.
Hope you enjoy it!
