Are there paedophiles in Grisons, and if yes, how many? The true number is very hard to come by, because not all people with this predisposition commit offences or get caught. However, that they exist is beyond doubt, and according to statistics the author estimates they number between 200 and 400. A reality which the documentary’s test audience would prefer not to think about. Paedophilia? Surely not here! The short film gives voice to a victim of abuse, who, after speaking out about his experiences, was confronted with hostility. A therapist warns against stigmatising people with this orientation. An anonymous man describes how he needs his fantasies as a coping mechanism, so that he does not resort to child abuse in real life. Finally, a man in the test audience says: “This film has taught me to differentiate.” And the author sums up the reactions to her documentary like this: as long as paedophiles do not step over the line and become offenders, they deserve respect and help.
