The mangrove forests of South Florida are endangered. With the loss of their protective hold on our coastline comes the loss of Miami, and the many neighborhoods that we love. The overlapping roots of these steadfast trees are a visual metaphor for our need to stand together to combat climate change in all of its ramifications. By uniting our communities we can try to survive, but without those roots, we too are endangered.
