I've always had this desire to exhibit lifestyle, passions, and values of Japanese people through my creation, so I decided to work on making this documentary short film. I hope this video touches and inspires you somehow by learning a little bit of Mrs. Umezawa's background, a unique relationship she had with his father, struggles and the value of her life.

Mrs. Umezawa is a very talented oil painter based in my hometown rural Gunma, Japan. Influenced by her father, painting has always been the greatest meaning of her life. Listening to her stories, I was very amazed that the only reason as to why she keeps painting is just because it's her passion. I think what she does is great dedication and is beautiful.
