Linnéa, 21, moves to Helsinki to study journalism. During the summer, she meets Ellen who writes for a feminist paper. Ellen has opinions, she’s witty and has excellent social skills. Linnéa also meets Viktor, a handsome and self-confident yachtsman who lives in the wealthy suburb of Westend. Linnéa is charmed by Viktor at first sight.
As Linnéa and Viktor start to hang out together more and more, Linnéa soon discovers that she is caught in between the hedonistic Viktor with his wealthy circles, and Ellen and her friends who are critical of all norms. A summer of parties, new influences and lies begins.
Nothingness tells the story of a young woman gaining her independence. It’s a story about friendship, trust and responsibilities.
