The magic word in this week’s Newsreel is reactions, as in Trump’s to being impeached, Sanders and Warren to each other, Americans to climate change, children to books and women to beards.
Here’s where they came from:
The footage of Trump is from a 1916 version of Dante’s Inferno. Sanders and Warren is from Intolerance, a movie DW Griffith put out to deflect criticism about the KKK being the freaking hero of Birth of a Nation. Climate change came from this AMAZING Swedish movie called The End of the World. The children’s book segment is another clip from reliably crazy-cakes Hypocrites. Lastly, the women and beards segment came from a 1916 version of Snow White.
