MUSIC - A Family Tradition est un documentaire musical qui parcourt le Canada et se penche sur quatre familles noires canadiennes extraordinaires. À Montréal, nous présentons Charlie Biddle et sa famille et la famille Sherwood. À Vancouver, nous rencontrons la famille King et à Toronto, nous entendons la musique de Jackie Richardson et de sa fille, Kim Richardson. Le film montre comment ces familles ont adopté la musique comme une tradition de toute une vie transmise de mère en fille et de père en fils. C'est une histoire qui capture des performances étonnantes de musique noire du gospel au jazz en passant par le R&B.

MUSIC - A Family Tradition is a musical documentary that travels across Canada and looks at four extraordinary Black Canadian families. In Montreal we feature Charlie Biddle and his family and the Sherwood family. In Vancouver we meet the King family and in Toronto we hear the music of Jackie Richardson and her daughter, Kim Richardson. The film shows how these Black families have embraced music as a life-long tradition handed down from mother to daughter and from father to son. It is a story that captures some amazing performances of Black music from Gospel to Jazz to R&B.
