I carry a couple 400 D3s (some X-Out, some stock stamp). These are my absolute max distance discs. The rim feel is GREAT, like I really feel confident throwing these BH or FH. I can't throw FULL BORE because I'm worried about turning it over with BH. With FH, I have to be intentional about not over-snapping it on the release. Basically, the disc comes out FAST and glides FAR with good form and 85% power. The only negative I can think of...this, for me, is NOT a woods disc. This disc needs room to do what it does. It needs lateral room to turn right, glide, fade left and finish forward. In an open field or a course where you have room to let this thing out of the bag, it'll give you some monster distance. The ones I have are a little domey, so the glide is unreal and it shows. The first 1/3 of the flight is pure speed out of my hand....I mean this disc comes out with tons of speed. The middle 1/3 of the flight is pure glide, like a paper airplane just floating. The last 1/3 of the flight is this thing fighting forward like a running back trying to get every inch it can. Sure, I throw D1, D2, X3 for shots where a turnover is BAD...but when I have room to just unload a bomb, this is my go-to. In the attached video, I get my daughter to film a 400 D3 forehand. With a slight wrist flick and getting the nose up into the wind....it still flies about 285'. Great job Prodigy. I have many of these and look forward to throwing each and every one.
