Synopsis
La fuite de Maureen Sauvageau prend une fin abrupte dans un accident de voiture meurtrier au beau milieu de nulle part, qui la laisse seule aux prises avec le blâme et les angoisses d’un jeune drogué plutôt attachant surnommé Jelly la Soucoupe.

Maureen Sauvageau's escape comes to an abrupt end when she drives’s her monster truck into a deadly car accident. Stuck in the middle of nowhere, she must share the company and the blame of a rather touching junkie dubbed Jelly the Loon.

Bio
Né dans le Québec rural qui teinte son œuvre, Alexandre Dostie est un artiste autodidacte au parcours atypique. Poète, chanteur punk et cinéaste, son premier court métrage Mutants (2016) a a été couronné meilleur court métrage au Festival international du film de Toronto, au gala Québec Cinéma et au gala des prix Écrans canadiens, en plus d’être projeté dans une centaine de festivals à travers le monde. Le film est aussi un Staff Pick Premiere de Vimeo avec près de 700K vues. Je finirai en prison (2019), sa nouvelle offrande cinématographique, est sélectionné au TIFF, Sundance, Clermont-Ferrand et Tampere. Le film a été nommé « Best. Int. Short Film » par le comité de programmation de Vimeo dans leur palmarès officieux de Sundance. Alex travaille présentement sur son premier long métrage, SHAPE.

Born in rural Quebec, Alexandre Dostie is a self-taught artist with a unique background. Published poet, booze-bruised punk singer and filmmaker, his first short narrative fiction, Mutants (2016) screened in over 100 festivals and won numerous awards, including Best Canadian Short at TIFF. The film was also released as a Vimeo Staff Pick Premiere, gathering close to 700K views. I’ll End Up in Jail (2019), his latest offering, already screened at TIFF, Sundance, Clermont-Ferrand and Tampere. The film was named “Best Int. Short Film” by the Vimeo programing team on their unofficial Sundance jury awards. Alexandre is currently working on his debut feature, SHAPE.
