A director, disgruntled by the portrayal of love and romance in modern cinema and society—as well as in his own life—sets out in an attempt to discover a new angle on the theme for an upcoming film project by gauging the thoughts and opinions of peers and strangers.
Amidst production, however, relations between the director and the crew quickly begin to falter, forcing the crew members to take decisive measures in trying to complete the film. Meanwhile, the director finds himself on a journey of emotional self-discovery.
