This short film I, A Director was intended to be a scene in a short but longer narrative film that I was making in a directed study with George Kuchar at the San Francisco Art Institute.
George's 1977 film classic I, An Actress inspired my adaption and desire to expand on the "wanna be" actress and director theme.
When this was shot nothing went as planned and the result became a finished work in itself.
Thankfully George loved my film.
I, A Director as been include in national and international film festivals. The work has also exhibited as a two screen installation, projecting in tandom along with I, An Actress.
