The first test launch of the Microship, my amphibian pedal/solar/sail micro-trimaran, took place during the 1998 Sea Kayak Symposium in Port Townsend. I found the video record of that day on an old Hi8 tape, and edited three clips into one minute... rolling the untested boat to the water on creaky workstand casters after hauling it from Camano Island in the mobile-lab trailer, then heading out under pedal power.
