After collaborating on quite a few projects together Edward Japp and John Wildgoose recently formalised what they were doing for clients as freelancers. This is ED&JOHN

After graduating from St Martins, Ed has gathered many years of experience with moving images, from Pinewood and Shepperton Studios he’s worked on countless programmes for clients such as C4, BBC and Arte, and everything from indie films to Star Wars Rogue One. This has helped him build a thorough understanding of the broadest gamut of technical and creative processes in all the strata of the film and TV industries.

John has been shooting stills for over thirty years, and began shooting video as an adjunct to his stills because he was asked to shoot a few archive projects (through agencies) for clients and thought there was value in supplying clients with still and moving assets that would be visually consistent.

So ED&JOHN seemed like the best solution to both clarify and expand their offering. They want the archival b-roll shoots to continue, and to keep the creative process, or the look still closely aligned with John's stills work. But by adding Ed’s huge industry experience it frees them to add so much more.
