Vincent Toi est un cinéaste canadien d'origine mauricienne. Ses films abordent la complexité des relations humaines sur des îles post-coloniales. Son dernier court métrage, Le cri du lambi (2017) a eu sa première mondiale en compétition à la Berlinale Shorts avant d'être présenté dans plus d'une trentaine de festivals. Vincent a gagné le prix du meilleur cinéaste canadien d'un court métrage au Vancouver International Film Festival en 2017.
