This was inspire by Juliette Blightman, "Marcelle, are you feeling bored with life?" (2005). In her art video, it feature a close-up of a window, where you can see plants through it. Then at the end, you see the plants outside. It is a simple video, but I do like the message of her art work. The overall theme in her video is to,"shows the hopelessness of existence, which takes place inside and outside in two setting."(ubu)
In the first shot, I film outside my window like Blightman did in her video except in my window it has a screen mesh. I personally liked where I filmed it because I want to have the same theme like Blightman's video too. I wanted the viewer to have a hopelessness feeling too. With the screen mesh, it almost feels like there is no way out. The second shot, it features the outside of the similar view of the trees. Even though, it is outside, it is like now what? I keep in the noises because this is reality and it is like a passage of time.
