In this past period of necessary avoidance I learned to give a wider meaning to the concept of "closeness", valuing its abstract meaning, more than its physical one.
How powerful a smile can be then if under a mask, how's the feeling when being embraced by eyes only.
All this was a trigger for calling into question the reality I used to live. Desultory rituals became main source of wellness, the need of being surrounded by nature was deeper than ever.
Luckily, after a long wait the lock down got slowly unlocked, I could see my family again and I could stay for two weeks in the countryside where I grew up.
Missing something that much, makes you start giving a deeper value to things you took for granted. My charger were my friends and family as much as the smell of the pathway after a rainy day, the sunshine wake up, the smell of the sea.
This video was presented at the "Jellyfish Cinema" pop-up event in St. Paul (Twin cities, US).
