CINEMA OBSCURA is an ever-evolving experimental audiovisual series created by Motion Media Arts Center producing unique interactive media experiences.

This showcase features three independent multimedia artists work produced in conjunction with our Experimental Media Department. Blending the worlds of analog video, experimental filmmaking, video mapping, 16mm direct animation, installation, sculpture, hologram and more.

99% of materials used in this exhibition were recycled, thrifted, or repurposed. All paper & plastic is recyclable including the sculpture. All analog monitors/tvs have been preserved at Austin School of Film for many decades for student-use. All analog cameras and tapes used for filming were sourced at the school as well and can be used for future projects. Props were upcycled either from local vintage shops or thrifted directly by the artists. All supplies were sourced directly through Austin School of Film's film tools archives.
