A girl experiencing a world that appears better than reality if only it wasn’t a fantasy she created for herself.
This experimental short film ‘But A Fantasy’ involves a female protagonist dreaming of a world where life is different in many ways, but one where she feels comfortable and free to express herself unlike reality. From her bedroom although sceptical and frightened at first, she explores a world erupted by welcoming neon lit purple hues and glitter glamorising life in a way her imagination cannot comprehend and a world that reality cannot compare too. After realising this is a place that makes her happier than life ever has, she wakes up imploding back into reality returning to the disappointing life she lives.
