A short exercise in choreographing harmony executed through video loops. Everything is in sync leaving you with a satisfying visual experience driven by audio.

AudioVisual” is a pure audio-visual experience. Everything is in sync, the actions within the frame are choreographed to the music, so too are the camera movements, visual effects and sound effects. The film is inspired by “Bronson – Keep Moving”, “Baby Driver” and the work of Felipe Cardona. All of which use sound to drive the visuals as opposed to simply accompanying them as traditionally done. This is extremely powerful in creating a harmonic experience. As the aesthetics complement the soundtrack and sound effects, the audience is able to further engage with the soundscape as it is not only heard but can be visualised. With the audio picturised I attempt to explore the relationship between colour and sound specifically, focusing on the colour pink and its ability to bring harmony and inner peace. This works alongside the choreographed movements and visual effects acting to create a relaxing and satisfying experience for the viewers. Furthermore, the visual effects within the piece are my interpretation of the soundtrack and after having viewed “AudioVisual” I attempt to encourage the audience to continue to visualise their own music to enhance future experiences. Ultimately, by tying the visuals to the audio, everything is in sync allowing all elements work in harmony to create a pleasurable viewing and audible experience. Audiences are left with a short experimental montage that is satisfying to watch.
