About the Artist:
ANDREA HILLEN studied with Prof. Gerd Winner in Munich and with Prof. Klaus Fussmann at the University Of Fine Arts, Berlin.
Aside from several exhibitions in Munich, Hamburg and Berlin (Haus der Kunst, 1/4 Galerie, Galerie 87 Grad West) ANDREA HILLEN was featured by the Galerie FELIX on two separate occasions.
All these exhibitions she performed in a live act as a multimedia artist. No Performance resembled another, they are always exciting acts of colors, music and film.
In her unconventional and new way of creations, ANDREA HILLEN includes film.
The camera enlarges her possibilities of expressions. She captures impressions of color, shape and time. Her films have earned recognitions through awards and national TV-Broadcast.
"Frankenstein´s Death" was very successful in the Hallwalls Gallery, New York.
"Der genähte Film" had been bought for the archives of the Arsenal-Cinema in Berlin.
Her works are symbols and stations of evolution. Her central theme is to create oneness through complement terms being balanced. We´re confronted with autonomous pictures, films and actions, with their own language and beauty.
