On the campaign trail back in 2016, then candidate Donald Trump boasted, "I could stand in the middle of 5th avenue and shoot someone and I wouldn't lose any voters..."

Fast forward to 2020. At the onset of the COVID 19 outbreak back in January, President Trump deemed it a "Democratic hoax" and opted to ignore the warning signs from China and other countries as they struggled to manage the mounting impact of the deadly virus.

On January 26- China's health minister warned that people can spread the virus before showing symptoms, making the virus much harder to contain. A veteran adviser for a US health agency told CNN this bit of information was a "game changer."

Feb 28- at a campaign rally in South Carolina, the President stated again that the virus is a "Democratic hoax”.

On March 6-- the first three cases were reported in the U.S....by the end of the day there were 332 total. No action was taken by the President. Instead, he compared it to the "common cold"....this was the beginning of a series of miscalculations and poor judgement by the current administration that placed American lives at risk. I’m not a lawyer, but negligent homicide seems very fitting. (Negligent homicide is a criminal charge brought against a person who, through an act of negligence, ALLOWS another person to die).

March 9- the President tweeted "So last year 37,000 Americans died from the common Flu. It averages between 27,000 and 70,000 per year. Nothing is shut down, life & the economy go on. At this moment there are only 546 confirmed cases of CoronaVirus, with 22 deaths. "Think about that!"
On the very same day, Italy was in PANIC MODE with 565 cases.

March 11- The outbreak was officially declared a pandemic by The WHO.

March 14- A Strict travel ban overseas FINALLY imposed

March 27- The United States confirmed at least 101,242 cases based on figures collated by Johns Hopkins University, overtaking China (81,782) and Italy (80,589). The US death toll surpassed 1,500.

In spite of the numbers, the country has not been placed on lockdown by the Commander in Chief...the decision has been left to the states. Meanwhile, the body count continues.

March 29- New York state's official death toll exceeds 1,000.

I won't bother mentioning the fact that the three months wasted (Jan-April) SHOULD have been spent preparing...

In closing...

He boasted of killing New Yorkers in the middle of the street and still maintaining his base....in reality, his poor judgement and failure to act in a manner that fosters good will for the American people has resulted in an insurmountable loss of life in the absence of a gun--but ironically--still in the good graces of his base.
