A system of procedural creeping vines for the Netflix show Siempre Bruja: Always a Witch. I used Houdini, Arnold and Mantra for 3D, Silhouette for roto and After Effects for compositing. The vines crawl against the wall surface, moving around or over obstacles using ray casting. As they grow, the plants are influenced by noise fields causing them to wiggle with snapping motion to simulate time lapse plant growth until they eventually settle into a stationary state with gentle wind movement.
