Bildkonzept

Unsere Arbeiten basieren auf Intuition, die als bewusstes Mittel im Gegensatz zum schematischen Vorgehen der konkreten Fotografie eingesetzt wird. Orte, Städte und Skylines werden in eine Realität transponiert, die vielleicht schon immer da war, aber nicht gesehen werden kann. So realisieren wir durch konkrete Fotografie das Abstrakte.

Eine eigene Welt
In unserem Herkommen ähneln wir uns, da wir beide Designerinnen sind, die im Marketingbereich arbeiteten. Natürlich ist auch das Kreativität gefragt, Kreativität, der allerdings durch die Wünsche und Erwartungen der Auftraggeber doch meist Grenzen gesetzt werden. In der künstlerischen Fotografie nehmen wir uns dafür alle Freiheit. Freiheit im Umgang mit den Motiven – Natur- und Architekturlandschaften, im experimentellen Einsatz der technischen Mittel, in einer Kombination aus Fotografie, Cameragramme, Doppelbelichtungen, Solarisation. Letzteres sind Verfahren, auf dem sich unter der Einwirkung von Licht ihre Spuren hinterlassen. Wir arbeiten dabei vor allem mit natürlichen Materialien, etwa wie Pflanzen und Erde. Wir gehen während des Entstehungsprozesses damit das Risiko ein, ein Motiv eben nicht komplett zu beeinflussen, sondern vom Zufall mitgestalten zu lassen. Letzteres sind Verfahren, auf dem sich unter der Einwirkung von Licht ihre Spuren hinterlassen. Ergebnisse sind ganz eigene, mit der Fachkamera im Dia eingefangene Bildwelten auf dem Grat zwischen Fotografie und Malerei.

Our works are based on intuition, which is used as a conscious means in contrast to the schematic approach of concrete photography. Places, cities and skylines are transposed into a reality that may have always been there but cannot be seen. Thus, through concrete photography, we realise the abstract.

A world of our own
In our backgrounds we are similar, as we are both designers who worked in marketing. Of course, this also requires creativity, creativity that is, however, usually limited by the wishes and expectations of the client. In artistic photography, we take all the freedom we need. Freedom in dealing with the motifs - natural and architectural landscapes, in the experimental use of technical means, in a combination of photography, cameragrams, double exposures, solarisation. The latter are processes on which light leaves its mark. We work mainly with natural materials, such as plants and earth. During the process of creation, we take the risk of not completely influencing a motif, but of letting chance help shape it. The results are very individual pictorial worlds captured with a slide camera on the borderline between photography and painting.
