Sydney has gone into lockdown due to the Coronavirus Covid-19 disease.

It has been quite fascinating to watch the city streets go into hibernation. Recently on my way to and from my (essential haha) work I have been filming the city at peak hour in the morning and afternoon to see the effects of Coronavirus on the movement of people in the city.

In Sydney, NSW, Australia all bars, restaurants, gyms and non essential services have been forced to close because of covid-19. Social distancing is in place were every citizen must stay 1.5M apart from one another. Public gatherings are now limited to 2 (They weren't at the time this was filmed) and public places are now closed.

This has lead to very empty Sydney city streets, which I found extremely interesting as we will perhaps never see them this empty ever again. There was a sort of strange atmosphere while I was in the city. People in Surgical masks everywhere, and people knowing they can't be near each other so social interactions were at a stand still. Central station was a ghost town most days and commuting had never been easier.
