Born in Kyoto in 1986, Masanobu Hiraoka began filmmaking after graduating from university. His work focuses on hand-drawn animation, with a focus on movement. Since 2013, he has been a member of the video production company Caviar, working mainly on advertising videos and music videos. He also established his own company, Mimoid, in 2020.
Since the main theme was ignition, I tried to express the swell of energy at the moment of creation and the silence as it disappears. The animation coexists with the pleasantness of continuity through movement and the violence that can be cut off in an instant.
