The animation was originally inspired by the documentaries about left-behind children in China: how parents and their children are separated most of the time, as parents work hard in the city while children left behind in rural regions. It is difficult for parents, who try to earn money for better education/living for their kids; and the children, who miss their parents and might not get proper love and care.
Lunar New Year is the once a year occasion when families reunited together for a few days.
Unfortunately, 2020 didn't have a great start due to the concern of coronavirus. Some families might not be able get to gather together this year, however, I truly believe there is still HOPE as long as we are healthy and alive!
There are too many depressing events around the world lately, along with the wild fire and volcano eruption. Darkness will not last forever, I wish the dark days will be over soon and we can embrace the light and happiness again.
