On Friday, August 14, 2020, staff from the City of Charlotte and Chula Vista, as well as the Regional Manager for Welcoming America led this webinar to explore the ways that local advocates, city staff, and elected officials can implement policies and programs that foster a welcoming community.

From small to large, rural to urban, local leaders are making big splashes. Learn how you can join the Welcoming America movement to create inclusive, equitable, and prosperous communities in which all can thrive.

Emily is the Immigrant Integration Specialist for the Office of Equity, Mobility and Immigrant Integration at the City of Charlotte in North Carolina. She is committed to supporting the success of a diverse, welcoming & globally connected Charlotte.

Anne is the Marketing and Communications Manager for the City of Chula Vista, the second largest city in San Diego County, California. Her work at the city focuses on improving the City’s image, promoting economic development, attracting visitors and tourists, and engaging residents.

Jordyne is Regional Manager at Welcoming America, where she is working to establish the nation’s first major metro welcoming region.
