Ontario Equestrian had recently launched an initiative called For The Herd in an attempt to raise funds to save their beloved horses. These horses, other than being beautiful animals, are the pillars in which an entire industry has been built around and have given their lives to teaching kids and adults to ride.

Entire communities have been built around them. Communities that are full of people that have come to rely on them and in many ways, consider them to be part of their family.

With the farms being deemed unessential businesses, they lost all income and in doing that, the means to take care of their beloved animals, which ultimately put their lives at risk.

We wanted to make a piece of work that would not only speak to the risk that these animals' lives are in, but reveal the community that has been built around them and how that is at risk as well.

Ultimately the goal was to both raise awareness but also raise funds so we integrated a call to action into the narrative as it comes to a close with our lead character discussing their need for help with his personal horse.
