CHECK MATE! This animation spawned from my desire to bring what I’ve learned from various classes at LAFS into one cohesive unit. It is also the result of the help of many teachers who took time out of their day to review the work with me outside of class (Dan, Brian, Joffrey and Gary if you are reading this THANK YOU)!! The song is ‘That other girl’ by @sevdaliza , an anthem of female strength that I found very fitting for the storyline of this piece.

This piece directly reflects the what the process of creating it felt like. It is the most complex thing that I have ever made and there were many times I grew tired but I kept on PUSHING! I now have even more faith than before that I can do anything if I put my mind to it. ✨ Never give up! More to come. -Maddie ❤️
