holliday.films I had this idea for a mini series on change, transition and light. It wasn’t really coming together until me and @thesystemsucks went to Caesars head on a whim, days before we moved in to our new apartment. When we approached the peak it was a blanket of fog that held us from seeing the entire skyline. It was freezing cold, raining and I was under a blanket and plastic bag filming this white void. We were deciding on leaving but I was adamant or capturing something, anything, and as I kept my camera rolling the fog moved across the slope like waves on sand. It was incredible, watching the transitions hidden from view, now fully in focus. I tried to create a story based on the mountain, a mythos of sorts experimenting with music, sounds, foley and light in order to create a mood of Crystal magic. I ended up with cuts that depicts the story of a girl who’s spirit gets stuck on the slope, and in silence is showing change through the movement of the fog. Nevertheless I love getting moments and being able to play and mold them, that’s what I love about film, stories and translation of energy. It’s never ending and I love seeing it play in my own life.
