The ocean evokes thoughts of diving in under the waves, from the cool enveloping your skin to crashing through and then coming up. Growing up in Sydney the water is all around you – playing, exploring the foreshore and fossicking in the rock pools as well as on and in the water is the Australian way. Sand between your toes and the sun on your skin are all memories of good times and freedom that still inspire me to this day.
The foam, bubbles, shadows, waves, rips, movement, rhythm, colour, sounds, scents and energy are a fluid breath of life. That I just cannot get enough of.
The horizon and the distance of the deep blue expanse of wonder is a reminder of just how insignificant or significant we are.
