The National Lottery was celebrating its 25th birthday in November 2019, marked with a major campaign to bring to life how it has transformed life across the UK since its launch.
Whilst most people know that playing The National Lottery gives you a chance to win life-changing amounts of money, comparatively few know the millions of pounds that playing The National Lottery raises for good causes every week.
To celebrate the nearly £40 billion that has been raised for good causes, the campaign featured 25 different themes funded by The National Lottery – from iconic art and local wildlife, to grassroots sport and the great outdoors- Shining a light on the wide range of projects and organisations that bring joy and happiness to people across sport, arts,
heritage and community.
This series of four comedy shorts were aimed at showcasing the treasured and historic spaces, (one for each region of the UK,) that survive due to lottery funding, advertising a free celebratory visit for National Lottery ticket holders.
