Maria and Matt were married in Manchester, VT at Hildene, the Lincoln Family home. This stunning New England estate was the summer home of Robert Todd Lincoln, the eldest of our 16th President. With its incredible mountain views, gardens and interior filled entirely with Lincoln family furniture, Maria and Matt knew that Hildene was the perfect location for their wedding ceremony and celebration.

We started out the day with Maria just as she was getting ready for the ceremony. Our bride lounged in the bridal suite of Hildene with family and friends sipping champagne just before slipping into her dress and adding on the finishing touches of sparkling shoes and veil.

Next we moved to the ceremony, located on the outdoor veranda overlooking Equinox Mountain. Matt and Maria grew up in Long Island and New Jersey but it took James Madison University in Virginia to bring them together! What started with a first date 7 years ago brought the couple to another beginning as the exchanged sweet personal vows and became husband and wife!

Next was the cocktail hour in the patio just outside the doors of the estate. Guests sipped and snacked as the reception tent awaited them just down the hill. Upon entering, guests found their escort cards attached to maple leaf shaped bottles of syrup! The perfect sweet treat to take home from this Vermont wedding!

Next it was reception time! The tent decor was a dreamy blend of twinkling candles and string lights with soft florals in hues of pink, ivory and lush green.
After sweet and funny toasts from the best man and maid of honor it was time to eat drink and dance! How fun for the couple that Marias father brought his own band to entertain guests at the wedding! The bride and groom were excited for the celebration and dancing with family and friends at the reception and as you can see in the highlights, dancing went well into the night.
