Sermon Notes:
James 1:3 - Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.
James 1:4 - Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
Suffering isn’t an IF it will happen, it’s a WHEN it does happen.

James 1:5-8 - If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.

James 1:12 - Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.

CIY Move/At Event
July 24-26, 2020
We had initially planned to attend a Christ in Youth (CIY) conference with our high school students (rising 9th graders through 2020 graduates) in a few weeks, but the virus had other plans. All the in-person meetings have been canceled for CIY, but they have worked diligently to package their 5-day on campus conference into a 3-day experience we can hold at our own location. We are so excited to be able to host a Move/At experience for our teens here at The Journey! This experience is provided by CIY and delivered by Journey Teens Volunteers. We will be accepting curbside donation drop offs every Sunday from 3:00-5:00pm. These supplies will be made into care packages to help Journey families and The Koinonia Foundation.
