A horror short film I made with the help of my family while on Covid-19 lockdown, inspired by "la figura oscura", the ghostly female figure in Mexican folklore that precedes "la llorana". Legend has it she originated in Spain and came to the New World along with the Spanish Conquistadors aboard one of their galleons. Many sickly people claim to have had visions of "la figura oscura" while on their deathbeds.
